Chiaki Kobayashi is a Japanese voice actor born on June 4, 1994, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent agency Office Osawa and has been active in the industry since 2017. Kobayashi made his voice acting debut with minor roles in series such as Just Because! and Case Closed, gradually building his experience with supporting parts in shows like Cells at Work! and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

His career reached a significant turning point in 2019 when he landed his first leading role as Hiroto Kuga in the original net animation (ONA) Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE. This breakthrough opened the door to a series of prominent main character roles. In 2020, he voiced the protagonist Makoto Edamura in the acclaimed series Great Pretender and Louis James Moriarty in Moriarty the Patriot. The following year, he took on the roles of Langa Hasegawa in the popular skateboarding anime SK8 the Infinity and Asakaze in the surreal series Sonny Boy.

Kobayashi's career continued to gain momentum with leading performances in a wide variety of genres. He played Yuichi Katagiri in the psychological thriller Tomodachi Game and Hayate Ichikura in Play It Cool, Guys in 2022. In 2023, he voiced three major protagonists: Mash Burnedead in Mashle: Magic and Muscles, Gabimaru in Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku, and Stark in the critically acclaimed Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. He has also been cast in highly anticipated upcoming series such as The Summer Hikaru Died and Go for It, Nakamura!.

Kobayashi's talent and rapid rise were formally recognized in 2021 when he received the Best New Actor Award at the 15th Seiyu Awards. Known for his clear, moderately pitched voice and emotional range, he is noted for his ability to portray both cool, composed characters as well as warm and heartfelt individuals. Beyond anime, his voice work extends to popular video games, where he is known for roles such as Deuce Spade in Disney: Twisted-Wonderland and Bartholomew Roberts in Fate/Grand Order.
