Aaron Roberts is an American voice actor and ADR director based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, widely recognized for his extensive work in English dubs of anime series. He has provided voices for hundreds of characters across a vast range of shows, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the industry.
Roberts developed his performance foundation by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Southern Methodist University. Before his voice acting career took off, he was an active stage and screen actor in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for over 15 years. His entry into anime voice acting led to his first major role as Sunny in the series Toriko. His work quickly gained recognition, earning him a nomination for the 2014 Breakthrough Voice Actor of the Year award from Behind The Voice Actors. He would later be nominated for the organization's Voice Actor of the Year award in 2018.
Roberts's voice can be heard in a multitude of prominent anime series. Among his most notable roles are Shinmon Benimaru in Fire Force, Kamui Woods in My Hero Academia, and Uta in Tokyo Ghoul. He has also voiced Klaus Lunettes in Black Clover, Howard Link in D. Gray-man, and Khai in Dragon Ball Super. His repertoire includes a wide array of characters, such as Bobbin in One Piece, Max Galactica in Ace Attorney, and Samuel in Fairy Tail.
The list of roles provided features many of his performances. In Megalobox 2: Nomad, he voices Edison Liu, the boxer who succeeded the protagonist Joe as champion. He plays the role of Albert in Banished From The Heroes' Party, Naohiko Nakanomori in The Gymnastics Samurai, and Reiji Senda in Midnight Occult Civil Servants. His other credited roles include Kreis Lloyd in Wise Man's Grandchild, Zack Walker in Astra Lost in Space, and Sola Athin in Back Arrow. In the world of idol anime, he voices Wataru Hibiki in Ensemble Stars!. He also appears as Michael Bismarck in The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup, Ernest Mecklinger in Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These, Itaru Chigasaki in A3!, and Shinnosuke Kamei in The Millionaire Detective - Balance: UNLIMITED.
