TV-Series
Description

1Begin the Defense of Earth!
In May 1969 Japan,a secret organization called A.E.G.I.S. tracks entities known as Invaders responsible for rising unnatural disasters worldwide. The Far Eastern branch transports a top-secret device disguised as a tour bus, with Gate Keeper Ruriko Ikusawa assigned to undercover protection duty. Invaders detect the ground unit and gather to attack. Agent Ikusawa engages the Invaders and scores initial successes, but the enemies merge into a spheroid form that proves too powerful for her to defeat directly. She retreats into the bus where A.E.G.I.S. troops plan an all-out attack. The battle spills outward and endangers the surrounding neighborhood, including the home of teenager Ukiya Shun. Shun lives with his mother and younger sister Saemi in 1960s Japan. His anger at the threat to his family's home triggers an unknown power deep within him. Shun unknowingly opens a gate and uses its power to single-handedly destroy the Invader threat. A.E.G.I.S. equipment registers an extraordinarily high concentration of Gate Power from this unknown third party, one of the highest readings on record. The episode ends with Shun's latent abilities revealed to the organization, creating the immediate question of whether he will join their fight against the Invaders.
2Stand Up For Peace!
Shun Ukiya struggles with A.E.G.I.S.'s invitation to become a Gate Keeper. He fears relocating and changing schools would force him to abandon his family responsibilities. Shun believes his deceased father neglected the family by prioritizing outside duties, and he refuses to repeat that mistake. While Shun deliberates, Invaders attack a concert that his mother and younger sister Saemi attend. Ruriko Ikusawa, the first recruit of A.E.G.I.S.'s Far Eastern branch, engages the enemy alone. She views Shun as a rival and attempts to prove herself the superior Gate Keeper through this solo confrontation. The Invader threat endangers Shun's family directly, testing his conviction to remain uninvolved. Shun witnesses Ruriko struggle against the enemy. Her determination and the immediate danger to his loved ones push him toward a decision. Shun activates his gate ability to protect his family from the Invaders. Ruriko's competitive influence ultimately drives Shun to accept his role as a Gate Keeper. Shun accepts A.E.G.I.S.'s offer, setting the stage for his transfer to a new school and his formal training.
3Play The Dazzling Music
Shun Ukiya moves into a residence next to Ruriko Ikusawa and her family as part of his relocation with A.E.G.I.S. The organization assigns them to investigate and protect potential Gate Keepers. The commander provides Shun with new equipment designed to enhance his gate ability. Their first target is Reiko Asagiri,a piano player rumored to create positive visions in her listeners. A preliminary investigation reveals Reiko lacks certain mental aptitudes required for Gate Keeper status. Shun and Ruriko attend one of her piano recitals to observe her abilities directly. Invaders attack the recital venue, threatening the lives of the audience members. Shun and Ruriko engage the Invaders but find the threat exceeds their combined capabilities. Forced into combat, Reiko activates her true powers and joins the fight. Her gate ability manifests through her piano performance, driving back the Invaders. The episode concludes with Reiko emerging as a new Gate Keeper recruit, adding her musical power to the team.
4Search For the New Fighter!
Shun Ukiya,Ruriko Ikusawa, and Reiko Asagiri travel aboard a bullet train through the Japanese countryside to locate a new Gate Keeper candidate. The trio seeks out Banba Chotaro, a local fighter known as Bancho who regularly uses his immense physical strength to challenge thugs. Bancho does not display any gate ability, but his raw power draws the team's attention. Meanwhile, a company moves to fill a nearby salt refinery field, threatening the local environment. The team investigates the company's actions and discovers an Invader presence behind the industrial threat. The Invaders manipulate the company to achieve their own objectives at the refinery. Shun, Ruriko, and Reiko prepare to confront the enemy force with the help of Megane, the A.E.G.I.S. mechanic. Megane supplies a large secret weapon designed to give the team an advantage in the coming battle. The Gate Keepers must rely on coordinated teamwork and this new equipment to counter the Invader plot. The episode closes with the team banding together for a decisive showdown at the salt refinery.
5Run Towards Your Dream!
A.E.G.I.S. transports a new Gate Keeper candidate,fifteen-year-old Kaoru Konoe, to their facility. Kaoru possesses physical abilities that exceed Olympic athletes, and the organization labels her power the Gate of Pursuit. Shun Ukiya and Ruriko Ikusawa receive the assignment to recruit Kaoru for the Far-East Branch. Kaoru refuses their invitation, seeing no personal benefit in joining their fight against the Invaders. The Invaders attack the newly opened Tomei Highway while Shun and Ruriko attempt to persuade her. The battle places civilians in immediate danger as the two Gate Keepers engage the enemy. Kaoru watches the fight unfold and maintains her distance, insisting the conflict does not concern her. She faces a choice between aiding the imperiled people around her or accepting that certain obstacles remain insurmountable. The Invaders' assault escalates, forcing Kaoru to witness the consequences of her inaction. Her decision to intervene or withdraw will determine whether she embraces her gate's power. The episode ends with Kaoru still undecided, leaving Shun and Ruriko to complete the mission while her recruitment hangs in the balance.

10Episode 10
The Gate Keepers team successfully defends the Apollo 11 return shuttle in the South Pacific. On the flight home,a new Invader named Akuma Hakushaku, the Demon Duke, attacks their plane. The attack forces the aircraft to crash-land on a tropical island. After the crash, the Demon Duke disappears, leaving the team stranded but physically unharmed. On the island, each team member begins experiencing strange visions involving other members of the group. The visions reveal hidden desires and unspoken feelings among the characters. One character sees an idealized romantic scenario, while another witnesses a rival acting out a secret fantasy. The tropical setting removes immediate external threats, turning the conflict toward internal psychological struggles. The team gradually recognizes these visions as the Invader's lingering psychic influence rather than reality. Shun Ukiya rallies the others to break free from the demonic dream before the illusions destabilize their group cohesion. The episode closes with the team regaining awareness of the trap and preparing to escape the island, knowing the Demon Duke still awaits them elsewhere.
11Stop That Bullet Train!
A freighter ship from 1963 reappears, drawing the A.E.G.I.S. Far-East branch's attention. A new Invader, Kikai Shogun (General Machine), emerges and demonstrates the ability to merge with machines. The Invader selects the Hikari bullet train as his target for possession. Shun Ukiya travels on that train with his family, returning from a short vacation. Kikai Shogun takes control of the train and sends it on a full-speed collision course toward Tokyo Station. The rest of the Gate Keeper team receives word of the hijacking and mobilizes to intercept. They face a critical decision: stop the train before it reaches the station or destroy it entirely. Shun's presence as a hostage aboard the train complicates any destructive solution. The episode ends with the team racing against time to avert a catastrophic derailment in the heart of the city. The immediate hook points to the next episode's continuation of this high-stakes rescue mission.
