Live action TV
Description
Former biker and unorthodox teacher Eikichi Onizuka finds himself transferred to St. Academy, an all-girls Catholic high school, in this special that continues the storyline of the 1998 live-action series. Rather than the rough-and-tumble public school environment he previously navigated, Onizuka is now an outsider in a seemingly refined private institution. Almost immediately, three students trick him and manipulate him into becoming their personal errand boy, effectively treating the former gang member as their genie in a bottle.

The narrative follows two major threads. At the girls' school, Onizuka becomes entangled in the life of a student named Rika Yamaguchi, who is struggling with serious personal problems that prove too much for her to handle. His signature hands-on, reckless approach to solving student issues is put to the test, and for the first time, his usual methods do not produce ideal results, adding a layer of realism to the character's growth. Meanwhile, the special also focuses heavily on Onizuka's ongoing relationship with his colleague Azusa Fuyutsuki. A significant portion of the plot involves Onizuka trying to make a good impression on Azusas father. The situation becomes dire after Onizuka accidentally punches him, mistaking the man for one of Azusas secret lovers. This incident forces Azusa's father to warn her to sever all ties with Onizuka or risk losing her family.

While Onizuka faces a crisis in his own love life and professional standing, the special also serves as a reunion for the supporting cast from the original series, showing how the students from Seirin Academy are moving forward with their lives. Central themes of love and the nature of true happiness run throughout the episode, examining what it takes to achieve a fulfilling relationship beyond idealistic clichés. The special balances these dramatic stakes with the franchises trademark comedy and action, including intense sequences that push the boundaries of its television rating. Ultimately, Onizuka must find a way to help his new student Rika, repair the damage done to his relationship with Azusas family, and prove that even when assigned to an unfamiliar environment, his unique brand of teaching can still make a difference.
