A veil abruptly descends over the busy Shibuya area amid the bustling Halloween crowds, trapping countless civilians inside. Satoru Gojo, the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, steps into the chaos, but curse users and spirits are lying in wait with a plan to seal him away. Yuji Itadori, accompanied by his classmates and other top-tier jujutsu sorcerers, enters the fray in an unprecedented clash known as the Shibuya Incident.

The film covers the devastating conclusion of this incident, where Yuji endures immense trauma and loss as the disaster unfolds. In the aftermath, the ancient and wicked sorcerer Noritoshi Kamo transforms ten colonies across Japan into dens of curses, launching a deadly battle royale called the Culling Game. Blamed for the chaos and carnage that occurred during the Shibuya Incident, Yuji Itadori is marked for execution by the jujutsu authorities. Special Grade sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu, a former student of Gojo and the protagonist of the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, is assigned to carry out this sentence, leading to a desperate confrontation between the two young sorcerers.
