Kousuke Toriumi

Description
Kousuke Toriumi is a prominent Japanese voice actor born on May 16, 1973, in Chigasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with the Arts Vision talent agency. Toriumi is a graduate of the Yoyogi Animation School. He made his debut as a voice actor in 1997. He is a member of the voice actor units Starmen and Phero☆Men, the latter formed with fellow voice actor Junichi Suwabe.

Toriumi's career is marked by a wide range of roles across various demographics, but he is particularly celebrated for his frequent casting in visual novels and drama CDs targeted at a female audience, a niche that has earned him the honorary title "King of Otome Voices". In a 2019 interview, he noted that recording for anime and games requires different approaches, as games are often recorded in isolation, demanding he imagine the responses of unvoiced characters.

His filmography is extensive and includes numerous high-profile and long-running series. He is well known for his portrayal of Kiba Inuzuka in the Naruto series, a role he has played for many years. He voices Shunsuke Imaizumi in Yowamushi Pedal, a character he has performed across multiple seasons and films, with the Inter-High races being some of his favorite scenes to work on. In JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, he plays Guido Mista, a role he described as challenging due to the character's rapid emotional shifts and the physically demanding nature of the recording sessions. He also voices Flashy Flash in One Punch Man and Cecil Aijima in the popular Uta no Prince-sama series, which also involves singing as the character. In Fairy Tail, he provided the voice for the powerful dragon Acnologia. He also voices Hajime Saito in the long-running Hakuoki series of anime and games, a role that required him to convey deep sadness in line with the story's historical tragedy.

In addition to these, Toriumi's recent and notable roles from the provided list include Haruo Itachi in Love All Play, Dillan in Skeleton Knight in Another World, Edward in Requiem of the Rose King, Kiyoomi Sakusa in Haikyu!! To The Top, Yuri in Arte, and Jilk Fia Marmoria in Trapped in a Dating Sim. He also appears as Backup in Phantom in the Twilight, as one half of the lead duo (Pipimi) in the surreal comedy Pop Team Epic, and as Issa Ogiwara in Higehiro. His role as the villainous Mummy in My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising further demonstrates his versatility. Toriumi is married to the vocalist of the band Savage Genius.
