Ryohei Kimura is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer born on July 30, 1984, in Tokyo. He is affiliated with the Himawari Theatre Group, an agency he joined at the age of three, which marked the beginning of his long career in the entertainment industry as a child actor. His early work included stage performances, appearances in television dramas, and commercial work, providing him with a strong foundation in performance.

Kimura's professional voice acting debut came in 1996 with a minor role in the anime series You're Under Arrest. For many years, he took on supporting roles, but his career as a leading voice actor gained significant momentum starting in 2009 with his first lead role as Akira Takizawa in the series Eden of the East. This breakthrough was followed by a series of prominent performances in the early 2010s, establishing him as a popular and versatile talent in the industry.

His body of work is extensive and spans a wide variety of genres. He is particularly well-known for his roles in sports anime, including Ryota Kise in the long-running Kuroko's Basketball series and Kotaro Bokuto in Haikyu!!. Other major roles that have defined his career include Kodaka Hasegawa in Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Yugo Hachiken in Silver Spoon, L-Elf Karlstein in Valvrave the Liberator, Sorey in Tales of Zestiria, and Hideki Hinata in Angel Beats!. He has also voiced characters in internationally popular video games, such as Tartaglia in Genshin Impact. Kimura is also known for his long-running role as Satoru Nishimura in the beloved Natsume's Book of Friends series.

In recognition of his performances, Kimura received the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 6th Seiyu Awards in 2012. This honor was for his portrayals of supporting characters in several series from the previous year, including Kodaka Hasegawa in Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Aki Kuga in Kamisama Dolls, and Satoru Nishimura in Natsume Yūjin-chō.

Beyond voice acting, Kimura is also active as a singer. In 2012, he became a member of the musical unit Trignal, formed under the Kiramune label alongside fellow voice actors Takuya Eguchi and Tsubasa Yonaga.
