Keiichi Morisato, a college student living in a temple dormitory, accidentally summons a goddess named Belldandy after making a desperate wish for companionship. Belldandy, a first-class goddess from the Goddess Relief Office, grants his wish and becomes bound to him, offering her eternal love and support.
